I teach nline classes. And I have affilliate links on my websites where peopel can purchase, ata  discount the items in a single purchase without hunting for a better bargain.
Here si the dilemmia, people who sign up for my class, still purchase from teh places that I have on my websites but dont use teh affilliate link.

Can anyone explain to me why?

I have  ahd answers like, they dont want to get a virus, they dont want me to get any money back( ok thats a good one) but it sems like they go out of their way to avoid clicking.

Anyone know of a way to actually get an afilliate profit back?

People don't use affiliate links because they don't want tracking software on their machines, in many cases.

One way to get around this is to set things up as if you were using a dropshipper, collecting money for theproduct and your percentage, then odering the product with the money submitted for the price of the product for payment with the buyer's address as the delivery address or email.

Some people will insert a code into their page that cloaks the link, preventing the affiliate id from being viewed by the buyer.

You could also forward instructions for removing the tracking software when the the product payment goes through.

Is your affiliate product digital or physical?

I actually work with a number of affiliate links for travel products and I normally earn a nice sum of money from them each month. I see nothing wrong with using affiliate links for high quality programs and sites.

I never realized this was a problem. I always use others link to get service or products.

This is the common problem most of the affiliates are facing. One option may be to use an affiliate link embedded in a link mentioned in the website. Other than that I have no idea on how to increase the affiliates.

I do know a few people that drive traffic through adwords to their sites in the hope that people will purchase some products through their affiliate links.

I tell my affiliates to create a redirect link on their site, blog etc. This automatically sends them to thier affiliate page to credit them for the sale.
